Next Stop, Dublin Station!

DUBLIN STATION is the connecting hub for LAURAN and J. OSCAR BITTINGER to combine songs and tunes from folk and traditional sources with original ones to tell stories and paint moods and grooves.

Lauran (accordion, flute and hand percussion) and J. Oscar (acoustic guitar and occasional things struck and drummed) bring a rich and varied background in Celtic, Americana, folk and pop-rock music*. They make finding the groove (be it soft and gentle or modern and manic) and riding it, the engine for the trip.

SONGS are the roadmap and the heart of the band. At the intersection of traditional and original song, stories and folk tales, thoughts and moods merge into something personal and modern.

TUNES provide the locomotion and emotion; body can move and imagination can take flight unstrung from words.

Dublin Station love to share a chorus that unites a group of travelers; and a rhythmic tune that encourages clapping along. Perhaps you'll catch the spirit and join the dancing!

*Currently together in Oxter/Mahone (and formerly with Pillar of Fire, Our Mad Affair and The Ruby Skies).
J. Oscar has played with Roscoe and the Faves as well as with fearsome threesome The Folk Bros.
Lauran has recently recorded and performed with Drew Nelson, Rick Beerhorst, Brant Satala and Judy Insley as well as playing dance dates with Hawks and Owls and David Molinari in the cajun band Creolization. She was also a founding member of the improvisational band Women at Play and has rocked out with The Wilmas.

Lauran and J. Oscar also produce "A Winter's Tune" a seasonal celebration in song.
